There is plenty of help out there for those in need at this particularly tough time of year,

Take a look at this post from Tameside Council
offering helpline numbers and information for people feeling low, anxious, stressed or just needing to talk to someone over the festive period.

If you, or someone you know, is experiencing a mental health crisis, you can now call 111 and select the mental health option (option 2). Available 24/7, you'll speak to one of our mental health advisors who will listen and help you find the right support.

It's for all ages, including children and young people. You can call for yourself or for someone else. The new number aims to help people find the right support during a mental health crisis.

We know this time of year can be difficult for some people.

Talking about our mental health can help us cope better with lifeโ€™s ups and downs.

Why not check in with your friends, family, peers, or colleagues?

Thereโ€™s lots of local support available for Tameside residents, please see below for more information๐Ÿ‘‡

We had a fantastic afternoon at the Health and Wellbeing College open day and celebration event. Thank you for all the hard work of our students, volunteers and peer trainers and particularly to Katie Daniels and our administrator, Ed, who put the open day event together. The exhibition of student work looked at the relationship between creative arts and wellbeing. Thanks also, to everyone who attended the celebration event and to all of those students who received certificates for courses completed this term. Fabulous turn out!

Our new term is now well underway, and today we were delighted to welcome the return of 'Global Grooves' to the Health and Wellbeing College to co deliver our 'Creative Upcycling' course. The course links the creative arts and re/upcycling to wellbeing and self care. From the session 1 course feedback, and the chatter in the coffee bar at break time, students, peer trainers and our creative arts experts by expertise are all excited about the results so far! What a fabulous start to the week. The college was buzzing with students engaging with the course and working creatively on improving their health and wellbeing through learning. Everyone was so excited, we wanted to share some of the creative work from the day! www.globalgrooves.org at The Vale
