Students are currently being encouraged to apply for the Inclusive Bangor Scholarship, which is for a Master's degree (taught or by research) in any discipline. One scholarship per College will be awarded. These Scholarships are to support students who wish to continue their studies at Bangor who may not otherwise be able to due to structural or financial barriers.

Full details on eligibility and information on how to apply can be found here. The closing date is Friday, 30 June.

Professor Morag McDonald, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for Equality, Diversity and Inclusion said, “Bangor University is a member of the Athena Swan Charter and the Race Equality Charter, and we hold awards in recognition of our commitment to gender equality and diversity, and to creating and promoting an inclusive culture for staff and students at all levels. I am delighted we are offering the Inclusive Scholarships again this year, allowing us to highlight and celebrate the diversity and inclusivity of our student population at Bangor University and ensure the student voice and experience is embedded in our EDI agenda.”

We’ve been contacted by the Crowd Team for Series 3 of a well-known fantasy TV show, who are currently casting diverse, piratey background artists & stand-ins.

📍 Filming will take place across various North Wales locations over the next 5 weeks.
💰 All roles are paid, with travel expenses covered in line with PACT/FAA guidelines.

The Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board is looking to set up a North Wales Recovery College and would like to hear your initial thoughts and views to inform the development plans.

A Recovery College is a space where anyone can come and learn about mental health recovery and wellbeing. Recovery Colleges offer a range of courses on mental health, physical health and wellbeing topics. These courses are co-designed and led by individuals with lived experience of mental health challenges.

Recovery Colleges provide learning, connection and support for people who are currently or have previously experienced mental health challenges, parents, carers, friends and loved ones, professionals and anyone else who might be interested.

During June 2025, they are running a survey for people in North Wales to have their say on the development plans of the North Wales Recovery College.

Yr Bwrdd Iechyd Prifysgol Betsi Cadwaladr yn bwriadu sefydlu Coleg Adferiad Gogledd Cymru a hoffent glywed eich syniadau a'ch barn er mwyn llywio ein cynlluniau datblygu.

Mae Coleg Adfer yn lle y gall unrhyw un ddod ato i ddysgu am adferiad iechyd meddwl a lles. Mae Colegau Adfer yn cynnig amrywiaeth o gyrsiau ar bynciau iechyd meddwl, iechyd corfforol a lles. Mae'r cyrsiau hyn yn cael eu cydgynllunio a'u harwain gan unigolion sydd â phrofiad byw o heriau iechyd meddwl.

Mae Colegau Adfer rhoi addysg, cyswllt a chefnogaeth i bobl sydd yn profi heriau iechyd meddwl ar hyn o bryd neu sydd wedi profi heriau iechyd meddwl yn y gorffennol, eu rhieni, gofalwyr, ffrindiau ac anwyliaid, gweithwyr proffesiynol ac unrhyw un arall a allai fod â diddordeb.

Yn ystod mis Mehefin 2025, maen nhw’n yn cynnal arolwg o gynlluniau datblygu Coleg Adfer Gogledd Cymru.

What is a Student Union? Students’ Union is the voice of the Students and the home of student life at Bangor! Our mission here at Undeb Bangor is to enrich and enhance the student experience of Bangor University students. We stand firmly by our 5 key values to ensure that we do the best job possible for the students; collectivism; democratic; Cymraeg; challenging; and brave.

We stand by our purpose “Bangor Students: we work to amplify your voice, enable your opportunities and develop your communities”.

Our vision is “to be completely relevant to you”.

How do we do this? We have a team of dedicated Sabbatical Officers (Sabbs) who work all hours to ensure that the Student Voice is heard and that the kind of activities that are needed are being developed. Supporting the elected Sabbatical Officers are the 16 Students’ Union professional staff, an experienced team supporting the delivery of campaigns and enacting the policies of the Sabbs, working together with the University to better the student experience of all students!
