Eadie, a second-year student studying Fine Art, Graphics, and Creative Media, was selected to showcase her artwork at a prestigious DLD exhibition at the House of Lords. 🎨

Her poignant piece illuminates the experiences of young people living with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD), fostering greater understanding and advocacy among MPs, policymakers, and the wider community.

We are incredibly proud of Eadie’s remarkable achievement. Her creativity is inspiring positive change and raising vital awareness. Congratulations, Eadie! 💫

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane, Cllr Jacky Tustain, to QMC to visit our Foundation Learning Pathways students. 🤗✨

As a former QMC student and parent, Mayor Jacky shares a special connection with our College. Her visit brought our students' studies to life through inspiring discussions on local advocacy and inclusion, alongside an engaging Q&A session.

The Young Leaders Training Day at QMC is an annual initiative we’re immensely proud to host! 🌟

Every year, we welcome Year 11 student leaders from local schools for a day dedicated to empowerment, confidence-building, and skill development through interactive workshops and challenges, including a high-pressure “Response to Crisis” scenario.

Nearly every participant rated the day 4 or 5 out of 5 leaving with new skills to take back to their own school communities.💡

Here’s what our young leaders took away:
💬 “Don’t be nervous about speaking publicly.”
💬 “Building relationships with your team and understanding their personalities is key.”
💬 “Leadership is challenging, and that’s perfectly okay.”

Thank you to all the schools who supported their student leaders to attend. We can’t wait to welcome a new cohort next year.

Throughout the day, they explored a range of fascinating coastal features and put essential data collection techniques into practice.

We are incredibly proud of the teamwork, curiosity, and enthusiasm they displayed, what a brilliant way to kick off the academic year! 👏

Today, QMC wore yellow for Day! 🫶

While it’s a bright initiative, the reality behind it is deeply serious:

• 1 in 5 young people aged 8 to 25 in the UK have a probable mental health condition.

• 65% of young people struggling with their mental health do not seek formal support.

Whether students speak to our Student Wellbeing and Counselling team, their personal tutor, the Help Desk, or any teacher/staff member, they never have to face things alone.

A massive thank you to our QMC Student Union for coordinating today's activities and raising £300.50 for YoungMinds to support youth mental health services across the UK, and to everyone who joined in and donated.

While today is a special day of awareness, every day is an opportunity to check in on a friend, classmate, or colleague. 💬
