Postgraduate updates from your VP Education 📖

One of Evie's main priorities for this academic year was to improve the postgraduate experience for BSU students. Here are her top 4 wins from this year! ⬆️

1. A dedicated postgraduate study space in Newton Park library
2. Postgraduate Unitu board for sharing feedback, research, and connecting with others.
3. Recruiting a Postgraduate Representation Research Assistant
4. Continuing the monthly Postgraduate Research coffee morning

Want to help organise Black History Month 2026? ❤️💛💚

Planning has begun for BHM this October, and we need YOUR help shaping the programme.

You'd be invited to attend around 5 online meetings a month from July-August to input ideas, share opinions, and have your say!

If you are a Black artist, musician, poet, dancer, we'd also love to hear from you about getting involved in our showcase!

Introducing the artists of Summer Ball 2026 🎶

With only one week to go until our party of the year, we're spotlighting the bands who'll be bringing the tunes next Tuesday.

"My music covers a range of many genres, I just can’t seem to stick to one! My amazing band and I will be sure to leave you singing and dancing to our tunes."

"We'll be bringing a mix of crowd favourites, disco, and ABBA to the stage, along with our signature harmonies and visuals."
