Up next on the line-up for the Bath Summer Bandstand Programme are the Big Brunch Band.

Formed in 2005, The Big Brunch Band hail from Ashton Keynes and are a 20+ explosion of sound playing a mixture of big band swing, latin, soul, jazz and pop. You'll get foot-tapping rhythms, velvet vocals and horns as bold as brass.

Recent performances include Tetbury Goods Shed, D Day and V E Day Commemorations, local Bandstands and Festivals.

Next on the line-up for the Bath Summer Bandstand Programme we have Phoenix Wind Band.

Formed in January 2014 and based in South Gloucestershire, Phoenix Wind Band is a community band of over 30 musicians of all ages and backgrounds who share a love of wind band music.

They perform two main concerts every year - Spring and Christmas - as well as other events throughout the year, including summer outdoor bandstand events.

The band will be bringing a varied programme of music; From musicals, pop songs and jazz standards to works for symphonic wind band.

Next Sunday we welcome a performance from Bristol East an Kingswood Band as part of the Summer Bandstand Programme.

BE&K are a Hanham based brass band founded on 2 of Bristol’s best-known bands, Bristol East Band and Bendix Kingswood Band. The Bristol East Band was founded in 1892 for miners of the local coalfields and has had a continuous presence ever since.

Under the musical direction of Nathan Jenkins, the band has grown over the last 2 years and now has a new energy which is evident in their performances. BE&K have a reputation for giving quality and entertaining performances that often include arrangements of film and TV themes along with popular music from the last 50 years.

Next Sunday, Filton Community Brass will be performing at Parade Gardens as part of the Bath Bandstand Programme.

Filton Community Brass can be found performing at a variety of events in the local community throughout the year and are a regular feature of several spring and summer fetes in Bristol and the wider area. They focus on enjoying their playing and enabling audiences to appreciate the sound of a traditional brass band.
It is a great way to get involved in music making in the Bristol area and we get warm feedback from our audiences.
