BSH welcomes all abilities so whether you play, have played or have never played get yourselves along! We offer weekly training sessions and optional competitive matches against surrounding unis. BSH are known for our great socials; offering weekly club nights, joint socials with other society’s and chilled pub nights too! As well as this we love our non-drinking socials, such as paint-balling and meals out! Joining a society has made my uni experience, opened up so many fun opportunities and given me friends for life, I highly recommend giving it a go 🙂

Happy New Year Spartans! As it’s a new year we are offering another 2 free taster sessions! Our first one is Sunday 9th January 4pm-6pm and lifts are from Costa on Lower Bristol Rd at 3:30pm. We have both a Mens and Womens team that play most Wednesday in BUCS! We welcome everyone with open arms, you don’t have to have any hockey experience to join! We can’t wait to see you there! 🏑🏑

What a month it has been, we have welcomed everyone back and have welcomed our newcomers🏑 We have had our first few matches for both our Women’s and Men’s team. We have come back bigger and better than last year after the covid period! We are even more excited for the rest of the year now 🏑

Bath Spa University Hockey Club is a chance for a fantastic university experience. We are a mixed society and welcome all ability levels, whether you are brand new and looking to try a new sport or a hardened hockey player, we are open to everyone! Weekly training and fitness sessions, regular socials and plenty more. We are a student run society allowing you to develop new skills in hockey and to improve personal fitness levels. Being affiliated with City of Bath Hockey Club and having some prestigious club sponsors we will enhance your university experience to the max.
Training is on Sundays 19:00-21:00 and we have BUCS matches on Wednesdays, giving you a chance to enjoy the social side of our club and to make new friendships across both our Womens and Mens teams. For those who are looking to release their more competitve streak, we compete in the British University and College sport league (BUCS). Matches against other Universities take place on Wednesdays throughout the academic year. We also organise regular non-competitive friendly games, so you have the chance to develop skill without any pressure and in a fun environment.
Due to our affiliation there is an opportunity to get involved with playing for The City of Bath Hockey Club who play matches with local teams outside of University life. So as you can see we offer you a chance to get involved in everything.
Socials will run weekly organised by our Social Secretaries, which will eventually consist of club nights out, casual drinks and socialising in pubs, fun and games in the park, BBQ's, fancy dress, inter sport team competitions within the University and so much more. Until then, we have the best online events planned, including Games Nights and Pub Quizzes. This is where great memories are made.
