This body of work explores childhood, memory, and the passage of time through a series of self-portraits and personal imagery. 🪞⏳🕰️

Through layered imagery, changing perspectives, and careful attention to detail, Milly has created a thoughtful and deeply personal response to the theme of identity and time. The work reflects on moments that shape us, the memories we carry forward, and the relationship between who we were and who we are becoming.

We are incredibly proud of the creativity, dedication, and resilience that has gone into developing this beautiful work whilst she's been at the college. Wishing her the very best as she awaits her GCSE Art results.

BATH ACADEMY ALUMNI 🟠⚪

Such a pleasure to have Parsa visit us last week! 🙌

Parsa came to Bath Academy from Iran's Allameh Helli School (National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents) to study our two year A-Level programme with the goal of getting into a prestigious British university.

He worked hard and with the help of our tailored teaching programme he achieved his goal and secured a place at Russell Group University, University of Southampton, to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Parsa's grade profile when leaving Bath Academy was A*A*A B in Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, and Biology. Parsa is loving university-life and we wish him all the best as he nears the end of his first year.

Farewells begin 🥲

We were sad to say our goodbyes to Andrii last week who came to Bath Academy from Ukraine to study his GCSEs. He brought in chocolates to give his thanks to Andrew Russell for teaching him English as a Second Language. 💬

He goes on to further studies in Poland. 🙌 🇵🇱

Take care Andrii - we will miss you and your incredible style! 💥

In 2025 117 million people were displaced from their homes due to conflict/violence: 42 million people became refugees (approximately 20 million are children).

Bath Academy will be offering students the opportunity to attend supplementary Mathematics sessions in the Autumn.

The course is run by our long-standing Mathematics teacher, Alan, and is specifically tailored for Year 13 students who will be taking Admissions Tests for University (e.g. MATs, TMUAs, and STEPs.)

Bath Academy are opening this opportunity to students from neighbouring schools to also attend these sessions and fully funded places are available for students who attend from state schools. Places are given on a first-come, first-served basis so please apply early to avoid disappointment.

Sessions will be held after school on Wednesdays, 4:15 - 5:45, for 5 weeks, starting on September the 9th.

A week of balance, focus, and resilience 🌿🎯

Last week, our students (and some of our staff) stepped away from their desks to take part in yoga classes and archery lessons - two activities that build far more than physical skills.

Yoga helped students practise mindfulness, breathing techniques, and stress management, supporting better concentration, calmer thinking, and improved wellbeing during busy study periods (particularly useful as we approach exam season). Archery encouraged patience, precision, discipline, and the ability to stay focused under pressure - all essential skills for effective revision and exam success.

Whether it’s holding a yoga pose or aiming for the target, both activities reminded students that progress comes from consistency, focus, and confidence in the process - the same mindset needed for studying and exams. 💫📚

Our students rolled into fun and friendship at last week’s Social Programme event - a trip to the rollerdisco! From first-time wobbles to confident spins, it was incredible to see everyone stepping (and skating!) out of their comfort zones. 🛼✨🪩

These moments are what college life is all about: stepping out of your comfort zone, trying something new, and making memories that last long beyond the classroom. 💙

A huge shoutout to everyone who joined us and made the evening so special - we’re already looking forward to the next adventure, which will be archery! 🏹
