A huge congratulations to Sophie on achieving an incredible A*BB! 🌟 After four years with Bath Academy - including completing her GCSEs with us - Sophie’s hard work, coupled with our personalised tuition, has truly paid off.

Having studied A-Levels in Psychology, Biology and Spanish at Bath Academy, Sophie is now heading off to Russell Group University, the University of Exeter to study Psychology. 🎓🧠

A-Level Results Day can bring celebration, relief, disappointment - or a heady mixture of all three.

But whatever is on that piece of paper today, it doesn’t have to define your future.

If your results haven’t gone the way you hoped, there is another route. At Bath Academy, our students come to us to resit, refocus, and give themselves another chance to reach the university, course, and future they had imagined.

Last year:

• 92% of our A-Level students secured a place at their first-choice university
• 60% progressed to Russell Group universities
• 23.3% of grades were A/A*
• 14 out of 17 subjects achieved a 100% pass rate
• We have a track record of impressive uplifts in resit grade profiles (last year one of our resit students, Charlotte, improved by a huge 6 grades across her profile)

After 24 incredible years at Bath Academy, it's time to say thank you and farewell to John Desmond. 👋

For more than two decades, John has been a dedicated colleague and important touchstone in the college, making a lasting impact on generations of students and becoming an integral part of the Bath Academy community. His passion for education, languages, kindness and unwavering commitment will be greatly missed.

As John begins his next chapter, he has reflected on his time at the college in a heartfelt blog, sharing memories, lessons, and the people who made his journey so special. You can find this blog on our website.

This body of work explores childhood, memory, and the passage of time through a series of self-portraits and personal imagery. 🪞⏳🕰️

Through layered imagery, changing perspectives, and careful attention to detail, Milly has created a thoughtful and deeply personal response to the theme of identity and time. The work reflects on moments that shape us, the memories we carry forward, and the relationship between who we were and who we are becoming.

We are incredibly proud of the creativity, dedication, and resilience that has gone into developing this beautiful work whilst she's been at the college. Wishing her the very best as she awaits her GCSE Art results.

BATH ACADEMY ALUMNI 🟠⚪

Such a pleasure to have Parsa visit us last week! 🙌

Parsa came to Bath Academy from Iran's Allameh Helli School (National Organization for Development of Exceptional Talents) to study our two year A-Level programme with the goal of getting into a prestigious British university.

He worked hard and with the help of our tailored teaching programme he achieved his goal and secured a place at Russell Group University, University of Southampton, to study Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Parsa's grade profile when leaving Bath Academy was A*A*A B in Chemistry, Maths, Further Maths, and Biology. Parsa is loving university-life and we wish him all the best as he nears the end of his first year.

Farewells begin 🥲

We were sad to say our goodbyes to Andrii last week who came to Bath Academy from Ukraine to study his GCSEs. He brought in chocolates to give his thanks to Andrew Russell for teaching him English as a Second Language. 💬

He goes on to further studies in Poland. 🙌 🇵🇱

In 2025 117 million people were displaced from their homes due to conflict/violence: 42 million people became refugees (approximately 20 million are children).
