Sports day! 🏅

On Friday, students and staff came together for an evening of sports!

Sports included rounders, a 100m race, a three legged race, a very Norland obstacle course (including donning children's dressing up costumes, slaloming with a pram and throwing nappies at a target!) and a relay (with a baby's bottle instead of a baton!).

It was great to see the Norland community come together towards the end of a busy term for some healthy competition and a chance to catch up!

We were delighted to welcome families, children and guests for a wonderful book launch and story time with Laura Henry Allain MBE on Saturday!

It was a pleasure to see so many children fully engaged, alongside parents, carers and members of our wider community to mark the publication of Maya & Marley and the New Friend.

After the storytelling, guests joined us in the student common room for a community lunch. This provided a lovely opportunity for everyone to connect, reflect on the event and enjoy time together.

Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the day so memorable!

Celebrating the end of first year!

Set 149 recently held a spring ball to mark the end of their first year at Norland. The year marked a series of firsts – their first time wearing the uniform, their first lectures and their first placements.

We look forward to seeing them back next week for their farewell ceremony, before the summer break begins!

Reflecting on ! 🎓

Hear from degree graduates in Set 146 as they reflect on their time studying at Norland, the experiences that shaped them and what graduation meant to them.

At their next graduation, they will qualify as Norland Nannies. Keep an eye out for our diploma graduation video, coming soon!

"Returning to education as a mature student has been one of the most rewarding decisions I’ve made, and Norland has given me the tools and guidance to build a career I am truly passionate about."

Every Norland journey is different – and taking the time to build experience can be a valuable part of it!

In our latest blog, second-year student Mai reflects on her journey back into education, what drew her to nannying, and how her time at Norland has developed her skills and confidence through a combination of academic study and practical experience.

“Seeing the influence of Maria Montessori, Loris Malaguzzi and Reggio Emilia in a real‑world context really helped my understanding of child pedagogues and the positive influence they can have on a child’s learning."
