The Institute of Engineering and Technology (IET) will be holding a competition on campus on the 14th of May. It is an opportunity for anyone interested to do a short 10-minute presentation on a topic they find interesting. A topic relating to engineering or technology is preferred, but topics outside of this will also be considered.

A panel of judges will score each presentation. The top presenter will be awarded £150 and if there are more than two presenters, the runner up will be awarded £100.
The competition is open to anyone between the ages of 18 and 30.

Applications are NOW OPEN to become a student team leader for the 2025 Kilimanjaro Challenge in support of student-founded, award-winning water charity Dig Deep.

Dig Deep is looking for someone who is enthusiastic, approachable and committed to recruit a team and take on the challenge to the roof of Africa in return for discounted travel.

INSTITUTE FOR SUSTAINABILITY - PAID SUMMER PLACEMENT

Are you currently a high achieving undergraduate at the University of Bath in the middle of your degree; you’ll either be in your 2nd year of 3, or 3rd year of 4 right now?

We’re looking for 6 students to take on a summer placement with the Institute for Sustainability, three research projects are available in sustainable chemical technologies and three in sustainable systems. We welcome applications from students of a wide variety of science and engineering disciplines who have a strong interest in sustainable technologies.

If this sounds like you, and you’d like to be paid (£11.44 per hour) to do an 8 week research project this summer, in an Institute where our community delivers world-class research that pushes boundaries amongst disciplines, where we solve challenges using a wide-angle, whole-systems approach with partnerships that help keep our focus on real-world problems, then do get in touch.
