In 1852 the Bath School of Art was founded and in 1946 the Bath Teacher Training College was opened on the Newton Park campus. The present institution was formed in 1975 as the Bath College of Higher Education through the merger of the Bath Teacher Training College and Bath College of Domestic Science. In 1983 the Bath Academy of Art also merged with the college. In 1992, the college was granted d

egree-awarding powers and in 1997 adopted the name Bath Spa University College. In March 2005 the institution was granted university status, becoming Bath Spa University in August 2005.

We are reserving a room at Locksbrook Campus just for alumni. Network, socialise, and catch up with your peers, all while enjoying the undergraduate degree show, which will be open throughout the evening for you to walk through and take a look 🎨✨

The main event of the evening will be Meet the Makers, which includes talks from exhibiting artists and designers, offering insight into their processes and ideas.

SparkFest presents Imprint Workshop, a writing workshop bringing together dance & creative writing in an event where participants are guided into composing 'love manuals' in response to a series of nine improvised movement performances that unravel in front of them ✨

The workshop is followed by a relaxed circle, where participants are invited to share some of their writings, if they wish, and engage in discussion.

This will be hosted and performed by Delicia Sefiha, Xavier De Santos and Juliana Ruiz Torres 🩡

BSU alumnus Clive Adams has his first exhibition coming up, opening 13 June in Stroud 🩡

Before starting his career as a curator at Arnolfini in 1974, Clive studied Printmaking at Bath Academy of Art (now BSU), between 1966-1970.

Clive will be exhibiting during the SITE Festival in Stroud, showcasing prints made by him using a variety of techniques, alongside a drawing by Michael Craig-Martin, who taught him during his studies.
