Apprenticeship Opportunity: Plumbing, Heating & Renewables

MAP Technical SW Ltd is looking for a motivated apprentice to join their team and build a career in the growing plumbing, heating and renewable energy sector.

You'll work alongside experienced engineers, gaining hands-on experience in heating systems, heat pumps, underfloor heating and renewable technologies, while earning a recognised apprenticeship qualification.

📍 Training takes place one day per week (term time only) at our Somer Valley Campus in Radstock.

Essential qualifications:

Hear from our recent T Level Education & Childcare learner who completed her course with us ✨

"I studied Education and Childcare T Level over two years. Although the course was challenging, it was incredibly rewarding. I spent three days a week at college and two days on industry placement, where I was able to put my classroom learning into practice.

I completed over 1,000 hours in a school environment, working with different age groups and children with a range of needs. I enjoyed my placement so much that I was offered a job there, which has given me even more valuable experience.

After lots of hard work and dedication, I was proud to achieve an overall Distinction. T Levels are definitely not easy, but they have taught me so much and given me the experience and confidence to take my next step.

Next year, I’m going to Bath Spa University to study Primary Education for three years, with the aim of gaining my QTS and eventually having a classroom of my own."

From gaining over 1,000 hours of industry experience to securing a place at university, her journey shows where a T Level can take you.

From carving initials and house numbers in stone, to children's colouring activities, co****le and plenty of other interactive games, it was fantastic to see so many people getting involved.

However, if you have applied for a different course, you will need to complete enrolment.

Results Day 2026 Highlights 🎉

This week, we're celebrating the hard work, determination and achievements of our students across a range of programmes.

The highlights so far:

- Our Level 3 Forensic and Criminal Investigation students have completed their two years at college with fantastic results. We're especially pleased to see five students progressing to university and two moving on to degree apprenticeships in policing.

- Our Level 3 Applied Psychology students have also achieved great success, with 43 out of 48 students gaining their qualification, resulting in an impressive 89.15% achievement rate.

- Meanwhile, our T Level Digital students achieved a remarkable 100% pass rate.

- In T Level Education and Early Years, all Year 1 students successfully passed both their Core Exam and Employer Set Project, with many achieving top grades. Year 2 students also performed exceptionally well, with 18 students achieving an overall Merit or above.

📸 Bart, a Level 3 Photography student, shared his thoughts on receiving his results:

"I got a pass, and I'm extremely happy with my result... Knowing I can continue my course and work towards gaining the full qualification is such an exciting feeling.

Next year, I'm looking forward to building on everything I've learned, becoming more confident in my photography and pushing myself creatively. I'm excited to see how much I can improve and what I can achieve."
