Hear about the sessions that some of our PGCE PE students delivered to eachother at Keynsham Leisure Centre.

They taught their peers activities such as wrestling, card games and functional fitness, explaining how they delivered each session within their own classrooms on placement.

The group picked up plenty of inspiration for new activities that they can try with their pupils when they go back out to their placement schools. 🏋️

Our Secondary PGCE Art and Design students spent the day at Locksbrook campus exploring how creative material play can support wellbeing in schools.

Through quick, hands-on experiments with salt dough and willow, they looked at how simple materials can enhance both student and teacher wellbeing in the Art and Design classroom.

The group left inspired with fresh ideas to take into their future teaching practice.

We loved welcoming prospective students to our undergraduate open day on saturday!

It was great to see visitors exploring their course options with the School of Education at Bath Spa University.

After graduating from Bath Spa University with a BA (Hons) Primary and Early Years Education in 2024, Natalie discovered opportunities that further fulfilled her interests in higher education.

From a graduate scheme role in student recruitment and outreach to her current full-time job in the Bath Spa University Careers and Employability team, she credits her lecturers and the wider university community for helping her to carry forward everything that she learned during her degree.

With long-term ambitions to explore social justice in education through postgraduate study, Natalie is shaping the next steps of her career while continuing to make an impact at Bath Spa.
