Another masonic year, another installation, and... it was another success πŸ‘
The brethren of Windsor End Lodge are truly grateful for the support of APGM Mark Harry and other Provincial delegates, as well as the support from our visitors.

HIGHLIGHTS:
Brother Ken Chandiram said fairwell to the masters chair as he moves on to take a no less important role as the lodges treasurer, of which the brethren of the lodge are grateful to him for doing so.

Brother Ray Curd was duly installed and the lodge is looking forward to the guiding hands of such an experienced and esteemed Mason.

The festive board was a big hit with a fish and chip supper followed by a loud and lively firing glass affair expertly conducted by our secretary Phil Goddard.
Maybe it was the excuse to bang the glasses, or maybe it was the tipple in them, but the old school house certainly felt like it was filled with a few raucous school boys for a period of time. πŸ˜ŽπŸ˜…

All in all, a pleasant evening was had and Windsor End Lodge will be moving into our summer break on a high note.

"What a wonderful evening".
(Quotation from a few of the brethren who attended).

Tuesday the 3rd February bore witness to an evening of a few firsts and lasts for Windsor End Lodge.

It was the last meeting Brother Ken Chandiram occupied 'THE CHAIR' in his first year as our master of the lodge. He did a cracking job over the year; and on this particular evening and will be moving on to a no less dutiful role as the lodges treasurer, for which the brethren of Windsor End are truly grateful.

It was the first time APGM Mark Harry visited us in his newly appointed Provincial role. We were delighted to hear a very sobering, yet humorous talk on how our lodge can progress and were treated to a few personal stories that definitely raised a smile. We will look forward to the next time he visits that's for sure.

We had the pleasure of our lodges soon to be ex-XO Richard Freeman joining us for the occasion, along with his successor Stuart Pearson. We are grateful for Richards support and wish him well and look forward to seeing Stuart in the future.

Alongside all this, the brethren of the open LOI, led by Windsor End's very own Balwinder, put on an amazing demonstration of a second degree to showcase their hard work and impressive ritual improvement. It was a testament to what can be achieved with diligent practice and the right support behind you. The lodge is very appreciative of them actively choosing our meeting. It was wonderful to witness.

And no less important of a mention, but the camaraderie at the festive board was filled with it's usual jovial atmosphere.

"Sorry to part and happy meet again" definitely summed this evening up nicely.

Remember, remember the 4th of November πŸŽ†

Coincidence would have it that the day before bonfire night our annual firing glass evening would go off with a BANG 🧨πŸ₯‚

The highlights...
- A sparkling performance of a 1st degree from the brethren of the open lodge of instruction.
-An illuminating presentation on the Royal arch from 2nd Grand Principal Mel Shah.
- Big bangs with the firing glasses, booming laughs and glowing smiles.

A warm fraternal thank you to all of our visitors for making the evening so wonderful, to Mel for giving such an informative talk on why after being made a master mason the Royal Arch is the natural progression in a freemasons journey, and a special thanks to the open LOI brethren for actively choosing our meeting to showcase their ritual progress and talent, it was a pleasure to host and to bear witness to such a dazzling performance. πŸ‘

Looking forward to the next meeting on the 3rd February. πŸ™Œ

Fraternal cheers 🍻
