Final components are laid out in preparation for final assembly on-site. One week left until the space frame is lifted into place.

A lot of planning went into lifting a 24 m² space frame 3 meters high, all within the tight dimensions of the New Courtyard. Without access to the telehandler we had to get creative. A pair of genie lifts and acrow props made the difficult task look rather easy, and install went smoothly.

Connective Tissue / The roof takes its shape from the collecting of rainwater along a central spine dividing the public and private space. Harvested rainwater is redistributed through a series of connective tendrils for domestic use.

The final project to revisit from our graduating class is Lucas Wilson’s An Ash Tree. Singling out a single tree for 3D scanning and analysis this project in Hooke Park aimed to more effectively and better use timber from UK woodlands – developing ways of re-examining conventional thinking in forestry, design and making practices. @ Hooke Park
