What a fantastic day at 'Mind Over Marshmallows' at W5 Belfast!

It was brilliant to see so many curious children (and their equally curious grown-ups) getting stuck into developmental psychology and exploring ideas around decision-making, self-control, and the value of delaying gratification. There was plenty of careful thinking and, in some cases, heroic resistance to immediate rewards.

Thank you to all of the families who came along, asked great questions, and embraced the activities. We had a fantastic time and hope you did too!

Dr Agnieszka Graham, Professor Teresa McCormack and our wonderful MSc Applied Developmental Psychology students (Niamh, Dearbhaile, Sharon, Isa, Isolina, Cara, Katie, Julie, Lucy, Niamh, Dearbhaile and Caoimhe) had a fantastic day at W5 Belfast running Mind Over Marshmallows!

Congratulations to Caoimhe Shields on her successful viva on Friday 16th October 🎉🎊💫

Caoimhe’s thesis was entitled “ Examining knowledge, beliefs and behaviours in the context of antibiotics, antimicrobial resistance and vaccines across the island of Ireland” 🌟

Her examiners were Professor Angel Chater and Dr Lisa Graham-Wisener.đź’«
