The Graduate School offers a unique facility for postgraduate students, providing a range of facilities, training opportunities and support, as well as events and workshops to maximise the postgraduate experience and assist postgraduates to develop a range of transferable skills. Staff are available to assist you with all your postgraduate queries, from securing a postgraduate award, to applying for a student-led initiative funding, or taking advantage of specialist advice. Based in the beautifully restored and remodelled Victorian Lynn library, the Graduate School offers modern, hi-tech meeting and group study rooms, a silent study area and social spaces creating a vibrant hub for intellectual exchange and collaboration.

Postgraduate Taught Welcome? ✅

We enjoyed every minute of officially welcoming our new masters and PG Cert students this week! From the in person panel, to the online session - we hope you enjoyed it as much as we did 🫶

Our highlight had to be our own Community Assistants and QUB masters students, Ava (Creative Writing) and Dylan (Law), chatting about their experiences!

Now on to our PhD welcome sessions next week, and then plenty of academic, careers and social events to come!

Yesterday at the Graduate School featured not one but two postgraduate welcome sessions! The first of which was the official induction of this year's Sir Peter Gregson Programme students.

Over the next few years, these PhD students will work collaboratively with local and international companies and organisations on research with real world impact. Today, they got to know each other, their programme lead Dionne Alexander, and started things off on the right foot with a talk from Dr Louise O'Meara.

We can't wait to see what this new cohort achieves 🫶
