There are so many ways to miss someone you’ve never had the chance to know. You can miss a face you’ve never seen. A voice you’ve never heard. A little personality you’ve never got to discover. You can grieve birthdays that never came, family photographs that were never taken, and Christmas mornings that should have been filled with excitement and little footsteps, but instead are spent waking up to a quiet, empty house. You can wonder who they might have been. Who you might have been with them here. How different life might look today.
When you lose a baby you don’t only lose the little life you carried, you lose the lifetime you imagined sharing with them.
We light candles tonight to remember the little lives that were here for far too short a time, and all the love that remains long after they’ve gone 🤍
