Dv8 Sussex is the place for young people who want to get ahead in creative industries. We're the bridge between work and education through high quality, employer led training that inspires, empowers and connects people, providing opportunities to progress in learning and work. We offer free courses to young people aged 16-18 in Music Production & Performance, Media Production and Games Development

Big thanks to the Student Support team at WaterBear - The College of Music for dropping by last week.

They ran a transition session with our Level 3, Year 2 Music students who are progressing to WaterBear next year.

Exciting times ahead for these our learners as they prepare for their next steps! 🎤

Join us for an afternoon of live music on Wednesday 24th June for our Dv8 Summer Showcase at the WaterBear Venue on Brighton seafront.

Our music students have been working hard all year, so expect a great afternoon of solo sets, duos and bands.

This Saturday, music students in Bexhill are once again taking over the outdoor stage at the De La Warr Pavilion as part of the Create Music Takeover! 🎤

The takeover will showcase a range of bands and solo performers from local schools and colleges in the Hastings & Rother area.

Our Film, Photography, and Creative Media students over in Bexhill worked behind the scenes in the lead-up to the Let’s Get It Together music festival in Hastings over the bank holiday weekend. 🎶

Ahead of the event, learners interviewed the festival's founders to build out their pre-event promotional material and capture the story behind the line up.

A great experience for our students to see how a festival of this scale comes together.

It also serves as a vital reminder of the effort needed to secure equality, inclusivity and human rights across the globe.
