📐 Maths Progress Recap! 📈
This session started by revisiting trigonometry, consolidating our understanding of SOHCAHTOA and identifying the correct ratio to use when solving right-angled triangle problems. We worked through a range of non-calculator questions, focusing on selecting the appropriate trigonometric function and showing clear working throughout.
Once confidence had grown, we moved on to simple and compound interest, exploring the key differences between the two. We practised non-calculator methods, learning how to calculate interest step-by-step and understanding why compound interest grows more quickly over time.
To finish the session, we reinforced multiplication fluency with a timed times tables challenge, recognising that strong number skills underpin success in GCSE maths.
Great effort throughout the lesson, with increasing confidence, accurate calculations and clear mathematical reasoning. Every session builds another layer of understanding. 💪📚
