👋 Meet George 📚

I’ve been teaching maths and English since 1995, after starting out as a Physical Education teacher for both adults and in a primary school.

I’m qualified in maths, English, IT and photography, and hold both a BA (Hons) and a Master’s degree in Education. I’ve worked across a variety of settings, and I’m passionate about helping learners build confidence and achieve their goals, no matter their starting point.

Outside of teaching, I have a range of interests, one of being delivering blood to hospitals on my motorbike 🏍️. I’m also a writer, professional photographer, and photograph motorcycle racing for magazines.

🌟 Welcoming Our ESOL Learners to the Wellbeing Hub 🌟

Today we were delighted to welcome two ESOL English for Speakers of Other Languages groups from Stockton Council Learning & Skills to the Wellbeing Hub, with sessions taking place both in the morning and afternoon.

It was wonderful to meet so many learners and introduce them to the range of services, activities, and support available through the Wellbeing Hub and across the Stockton area. We shared information about how we can support health and wellbeing, reduce isolation, build confidence, and help people connect with their local community.

We really enjoyed meeting everyone, hearing their stories, and showing how the Wellbeing Hub can be a welcoming space for support, friendship, learning, and personal growth.

Thank you to Stockton Council Learning & Skills and all the learners who visited us today. We look forward to seeing you again soon.
