The University has the expertise and partnerships to play a significant role in tackling global sustainability challenges. To demonstrate its commitment, the University has included a sustainability pillar in its 2030 strategy and has set ambitious targets.

On the 29th November, you are invited to join the University’s first ‘Sustainability Town Hall’. This event will provide all staff and students with the opportunity to hear from a panel of experts about the University’s strategy, commitments, ambitions and plans. There will also be a number of stalls which demonstrate the practices, opportunities and ambitions from staff and student groups.

UoB students are eligible for a FREE online sustainability internship opportunity!
Working for a commercial employer, you will be placed in a group of students from over 18 countries. You will be presented with an ongoing sustainability challenge and set the task of innovating a solution within your group.
This takes place for 2 weeks during December and January, but only involves 2 x 2.5 hour compulsory online sessions at the start and end; the rest of the time you manage your project together!

EVENT FOR THOSE WHO CARE ABOUT THE UNI's INPUT IN THE CLIMATE CRISIS:
Here is a chance to find out what UoB is doing in the fight against Climate Change, convince them the students care about these issues, and give our input in what we should be doing!
Tomorrow is the last of a series of panels that have been running this week on Sustainability, please come down from 1-2pm tomorrow (Friday 11th) to hear from representatives at UoB and Aston, and input your thoughts and feelings.
