Today’s lunchtime concert was the final Barber Lunchtime Concert of the year, but what a wonderful way to finish a fantastic season!

We were joined by the phenomenal Erda Ensemble who performed a captivating programme of music written for the unique combination of flute, harp, and mezzo-soprano.

We may have reached the end of the Barber Concert season, but the fun doesn’t stop there: join us in the Elgar Concert Hall next Friday for a fabulous concert from our Summer Festival Voices, and keep your eyes peeled for our Autumn 2026 brochure which is coming soon!

What a pleasure to hear Elgar being played in his eponymous concert hall!

In today’s concert, violinist Nathan Amaral and pianist George Rowley performed a wonderful programme inspired by their heritage, featuring a gorgeous Bach-inspired aria by Villa-Lobos and Elgar’s stunning Violin Sonata in E minor.

Next week’s lunchtime concert is set to be an exciting one: we’ll be joined by Gawain Glenton Music and Kinga Ujszaszi - violin from In Echo as they showcase a battle between the cornetto and the violin!
