Fircroft is one of only two adult residential colleges in England and is set in a former Cadbury family home surrounded by six acres of landscaped gardens in Selly Oak, Birmingham. Fircroft College of Adult Education runs short (3 days, 2 nights) and longer residential courses throughout the year, many of which are aimed at students with no or few prior formal qualifications, helping them to impr
ove their skills and confidence, achieve personal and career goals and reach their true potential. We also deliver successful full-time (residential and non-residential) Access to Higher Education diplomas in Humanities and Health for students who wish to go on to University with the next diplomas starting in September 2022. In the past few years we have had a 100% pass rate with all of the successful students being offered places at their chosen universities. We also have a Pre-Access course that can lead to the Access diplomas, starting in January 2022. Because we are now mostly funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority, our courses are for people living in the West Midlands primarily in the areas of Walsall, Wolverhampton, Sandwell, Birmingham, Solihull, Coventry and Dudley. People living in other areas of England may be eligible - contact our Admissions team on 0121 472 0116 or email [email protected] for more information. Our maths, English and IT courses are FREE to everyone and our other courses may also be FREE to you depending on your financial circumstances. The College also runs a number of professional qualifications for those in work who want to progress their career, or for those seeking work. Please take a look at our courses on our website www.fircroft.ac.uk and apply online or contact our Admissions team. We look forward to receiving your application!
