Great that Newman Drama had a chance to deliver workshops to students at the Birmingham Hippodrome event 'Theatre in Training' today, representing Newman University as a whole.
It was lovely to meet other HE providers also from the West Midlands.

With Summer now here, and we know a few of our students are still completing assignments, we want to let you all be aware of opportunities going on within the drama world beyond the walls of Newman university.

So, our first post is this a workshop next Monday at 2pm to 5pm by Geese Theatre Company Only a few tickets left and each is £10. Geese are a connection we have and are at the forefront of how drama can be used in various settings such as probation, prisons and youth offender institutes to name just a few. Back on Monday we were thrilled to have Baxter College attend Newman University's Drama Learning day for further education students.
A great couple of sessions were led exploring puppetry and play texts.
It was a day that showed the impact drama can have on learning :)

We are a little slow on this celebrative post, but we just want to say thank you to all of our students, our staff and our department for the awards we picked up at the Excellence Awards run by Newman Students' Union
It was an honour to win department of the year 2 years in a row! And delighted so many of our students picked up awards! Well done to all other award winners! Newman is a truly wonderful university.
Let us keep growing, developing and believing in drama in education!
