The call for entries for the RBSA
Prize 2026 is now open for submissions on our website.
The biennial RBSA Prize celebrates creativity and innovation by promoting work at the cutting edge of contemporary art. While this call is open to artists based locally, nationally, and internationally, we encourage those with more contemporary practices to submit work, allowing the RBSA to shine a light on work that is pushing boundaries. All styles and media are eligible, and we invite entries from both established and emerging artists.
The following prizes will be awarded:
First Prize £1000
Second Prize £500
Third Prize £250
Up to six highly commended certificates will also be awarded
The deadline for entries is Tuesday 11 August at 4.00pm and the exhibition will run from Thursday 1 - Saturday 31 October. To enter, follow the link in our bio.

Get • .yang Very grateful to be part of London Craft Week this year, and many thanks to for the invitation.

Over the past few days, I’ve had the chance to speak with artists and makers from many different practices and backgrounds. It’s been a really valuable and inspiring experience for me. Seeing how everyone approaches material, process, and expression in their own way reminded me again why I keep returning to jade in my own work.

These conversations have encouraged me to continue focusing on my jade series and to keep exploring the possibilities of jade within a contemporary context. I hope to bring even better works in the future 🤍

Thank you to everyone who came by, spent time with the work, and shared conversations with me.

What happens when you put Birmingham’s brightest minds together with California’s top talent? You get everything from wildlife conservation tech to fully functional droids.

We recently hosted students from Cal Poly at the STEAMhouse Challenge Lab for a 4-day sprint that proved one thing - innovation has no borders.

The Highlights:
- Live Industry Briefs: Real projects for US clients.
- Multidisciplinary Teams: Engineers, artists, nurses, and business students working as one.
- Real Impact: Tackling challenges in aerospace, zoology, and mechatronics.

This partnership is a vital step in equipping BCU students with the creativity and problem-solving skills needed to shape the future.
