Warwickshire Freemasons: August Wrap‑Up 🏛️
A hot couple of weeks across the Province with community impact, charity, exploration, rugby, real ale… and even a solar eclipse.
Wednesday 5 August
Warwickshire Change Makers – St Mary’s Collegiate Church
APGM Avtar Panesar represented Warwickshire Freemasons at the High Sheriff’s Change Makers event, celebrating community heroes from across the county.
A procession to Warwick Castle followed for a garden party with live music and plenty of interest in Freemasonry. A superbly delivered civic occasion. 🎖️🏰
Saturday 8 August
Knowle Lodge – Charity Rugby Day
A huge success at Camp Hill RFC with players from Camp Hill, Warwickshire Masonic RFC and the Combined Services Barbarians.
Over 1,700 raffle tickets sold thanks to WBro Neil Merchant and the Shirley Sea Cadets.
Strong Provincial support from the PGM, DPGM, APGM Avtar Panesar, Fisher House representatives, the Let’s Talk Team, and visitors from Worcestershire.
A fantastic day highlighting Fisher House and Warwickshire Freemasonry. 🏉💙

Holy Well Lodge – BBQ Fundraiser
WM Amrit hosted a fantastic BBQ raising ~£500 for the Ambulances for Ukraine project. Great turnout, great cause. 🔥🇺🇦

Solar Eclipse Gathering
Brethren shared a moment of quiet awe under the midday sky as the eclipse passed overhead — a rare cosmic event made better by brotherhood. 🌒🤝
Meridian Lodge Visit – Guys Cliffe
Abbey Lodge No. 432’s Bro Sec and team brought five prospective candidates — Samson, Declan, Chris, Colin and Adam — for a guided tour of Guys Cliffe.
A superb evening hosted by Meridian Lodge, made unforgettable by the perfect view of the eclipse. 🌒🏛️

Fortior Lodge No. 6172 – Real Ale & Curry Night
A great evening out in Birmingham with good ale, good curry and even a potential candidate. 🍺🍛
