Dr Thomas Logan, Lecturer in Animal Science and Conservation and Fynn, second-year Conservation student had a great time at Lakes Deer Fest over the weekend 🦌
The annual event, held in the Lake District National Park, invites wildlife enthusiasts, researches, conservation professionals, artists and local communities in celebrating Cumbria's iconic native red and roe deer.
Thomas attended as an academic researcher specialising in deer ecology and deer management, sharing insights and engaging with colleagues from across the conservation sector and higher education. Meanwhile, Fynn volunteered as part of the festival team, helping to deliver the event and support visitors throughout the day. Fynn also showcased his creativity and passion for conservation by creating, filming, and producing a video exploring the history of deer in Britain, their cultural significance, and their fascinating ecology.
