Bridle and bit fitting expert, Aimee Shiel, came in to chat with our Level 4 students. She brought a selection of skulls with her to show the anatomy of them and how bits sit in the mouth. This allowed our students to gain an in-depth knowledge into the process!

Our Animal Sciences degrees mix theory lectures with practicals on our dedicated Animal Management Centre🐒

Our students recently received a visit from Gavin, a Police Person and ex Zoo Keeper and supported him with building fire hose enrichment. The students further developed their DIY skills using various tools, incorporated a bit of maths and worked together as a team. They also had an insightful discussion about future plans for employment in the animal industry, and came up with creative ideas to transfer these skills into even more enrichment!

Meet Sofie👋

Sofie recently completed her dissertation, measuring the behavioural effects of reptiles and amphibians in a multi-species exhibit. She observed the species at Exotics Of The World Ltd and found some really interesting conclusions.

Our Criminology and further education Uniformed Public Services and Policing students are having a great time in San Francisco ✈️

So far they have enjoyed a CSI lesson on the beach, explored criminological landscaping, had a boat ride to Alcatraz Island and explored the prison, enjoyed a sunset overlooking the Golden Gate Bridge, took an open top bus ride over to Treasure Island and event more!

We can't wait to see what else the group get up to🙌🏻
