A huge thank you to Richard, Senior Site Manager at Wetherby Rockwool Wall Systems UK, for visiting our Construction workshop and giving students a hands-on demonstration of external wall insulation systems and sustainable construction methods.

He was joined by former Blackburn College student Vanessa, now part of Wetherby's technical department, who shared her journey from learner to industry professional and inspired students with her career story.

Our Foundation Care students are doing just that.

Theyโ€™ve begun their work experience placement at Hazeldene Care Home, and already have been brightening days with simple acts of kindness. From sharing sweets to enjoying conversations with residents, they've helped create moments of connection, laughter and companionship.

We're incredibly proud of the compassion, confidence and care they've shown from their first day. It's a wonderful reminder that even the smallest gestures can make the biggest difference.

Our T-Level Marketing students visited the Amazon Fulfilment Centre in Bolton for a behind-the-scenes look at how one of the world's largest organisations operates.

From seeing the fulfilment process in action to exploring the role of sustainability, technology and automation, students gained valuable real-world insight into a modern business environment.

The visit helped bring classroom learning to life, showing how marketing, customer service, operations and sustainability all work together to deliver results.
