Fine Art students from the Arts University Bournemouth have been given the opportunity to create and exhibit their own sculptures, in this temporary re-design of the city’s Lower Gardens Miniature Golf Course. The students will be working alongside internationally renowned artist and crazy golf specialist Doug Fishbone, who has previously presented an art crazy golf course at the Venice Biennale i
n 2015 featuring some of Britain’s leading artists such as Yinka Shonibare MBE. Fishbone has also designed courses with artists such as Jake and Dinos Chapman and David Shrigley. The Lower Gardens course will be transformed from the 29th March to feature 18 unique site specific artworks. All are welcome to join us for a round, for a fun and unexpected take on one of the Bournemouth’s best-loved attractions. The students would like to thank the local council for their hospitality and co-operation in allowing this unusual project to unfold. The Private View will take place on Wednesday the 29th of March from 4-6 pm. The course will be open for play on Saturday and Sunday, April 1 and 2 from 10 am – 7pm.
