We’re looking for a Technical Technician to support our workshop and help students build practical skills, confidence, and a brighter future.

This is a hands-on role in a busy woodwork environment, working alongside staff and students to keep the workshop running safely and smoothly. You’ll play an important part in supporting learning, maintaining equipment, and helping young people develop real-world skills.

What you’ll be doing:

- Supporting practical lessons in the workshop
- Maintaining tools, materials, and equipment
- Promoting safe working practices
- Helping create a positive, supportive learning environment

Instrumental Lessons Update 🎵

Instrumental lessons were due to commence on Monday 24th August, with Band starting on Tuesday 25th August. Unfortunately, both will be delayed further.

I will provide a further update next week.

Great Opportunity for a college tutor - Starting in August 2026, this 0.19 FTE post is to teach Nat 4 Rural Skills to schools link students on Islay.

Current vacancies at UHI Argyll. We offer further and higher education in one of the most geographically fragmented areas of Scotland, and are an academic partner of The University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI).

Instrumental lessons will commence from Monday 24th August, the timetable is on the music department notice board . Band will start on Tuesday 25th August, start playing at 4.00 pm, ending at 4.45 pm.
