Happy Sabbath! :)
Psalm 51 is traditionally attributed to King David after the prophet Nathan confronted him about his sin with Bathsheba and the death of her husband, Uriah (2 Samuel 11–12). Acknowledging his sins, David pleads for God’s mercy, forgiveness, and cleansing. Yet his prayer goes beyond seeking pardon; he asks God to create within him a clean heart and renew a right spirit within him. It is a profound expression of repentance, inner transformation, and restoration. This prayer reminds us of God’s abundant mercy, His power to restore, and the hope of a new beginning through His grace.
