💬 “I wasn’t going to come to college originally. My GCSEs weren’t great, so I was going to my secondary school, but then my mum’s friend recommended going to college. I came here through Clearing and got to do the subjects that I’m passionate about.” - Aiden O'Donnell, an alumnus from Bracknell and Wokingham College, found his path through Clearing.

If your young person’s GCSE results were better or worse than expected, there are still plenty of options available.

🎉 Congratulations to all our students who are celebrating today after collecting their successful GCSE exam results.

Today is a celebration of your hard work, resilience and determination. Whether you're progressing to your next course, starting an apprenticeship, continuing your studies or exploring new opportunities, we're incredibly proud of everything you've achieved. 👏

Veli Albert Kallio, 61, from Bracknell, achieved a grade 7. Originally from Finland, he previously studied ESOL at the college. He decided to study English to assist him with his Climate Change research.

💬 "Studying English GCSE at the college has helped me to express myself and learn rhetorical techniques, which I hadn’t learnt at school in Finland."

Sin Yu Ying, also known as Charlotte, 17, from Wokingham, achieved a grade 7,7 in Combined Science, a grade 7 in Maths and a grade 4 in English, enabling her to study A Levels at the college.

💬 Every teacher is really friendly. They help you so much. They are free to answer every student’s questions."

Laila Foxen, 18, from Bracknell, achieved a grade 9,8 in Combined Science, with grade 5s in English, maths and Statistics, enabling her to study A Levels at the college.

💬"I’m happy that my Combined Science results were so high, as I was expecting a 7 or 8!"

Supported Foundation Tier 3 student, Daniel Flannigan, 21, from Crowthorne is celebrating achieving a grade 4 in GCSE English and a grade 5 for maths. He's now progressing to a Pre-Internship Programme at the college.

💬 “I feel very proud of my results. My teachers are very nice. They supported me by giving me useful tips and help whenever I needed it."

ESOL student Truong Dinh, 17, from Bracknell, achieved a grade 4 in maths. He came over from Vietnam last year. He will now progress to study the next level of ESOL and GCSE maths (higher tier) at the college.

Today is a celebration of your hard work, dedication and resilience. 💪 We're incredibly proud of everything you've achieved and the commitment you've shown throughout your studies. 💙👏

🧪 Kerry achieved As in Biology, Chemistry and Maths, with a B in Physics.

She's going to study a master's in Chemistry with a year in industry at the University of Leeds 🎓🔬

“College was really fun. It was the best education experience I’ve ever had!" 😊

📚 Aiden achieved As in Business and Politics and a C in Mathematics. He has a place to study Politics, Philosophy and Economics at the University of Southampton but is considering looking at other universities through Clearing as he did better than he expected. 🌟

"I’m really happy! I was expecting a C for Maths as I struggled a bit, but I was not expecting the two As! 🎉

“My teachers were amazing at college. They helped me through my whole journey. I felt really supported." 💙

🩰 Kat came to do her second year of A Levels at Bracknell and Wokingham College, achieving A grades in Biology and Mathematics, and will now study a three-year Diploma in Dance at KS Dance in Warrington, specialising in Ballet and Contemporary dance. 💃✨

"I’m really happy! I didn’t think I was going to get two As because the exams were particularly difficult this year, but I’m happy." 🎉

🩺 Paige achieved a Distinction in T Level Health (Adult Nursing) after completing an industry placement with Frimley Health and will now progress to University of Southampton to study a master’s degree in Nursing (Adult and Child). 🎓🏥

"I’m very happy! I worked very hard, so it all paid off in the end!" 🙌✨

💙 Valeria achieved a Merit in T Level in Health (Adult Nursing) after completing an industry placement with Wokingham Hospital, part of Berkshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust and will now progress to study Physiotherapy at the University of Northampton 🎓

"I’m really happy! It was great to do a placement. I got to meet new people and put my skills into practice. I got to meet patients and see how things were done. It helped me to decide what I wanted to do at university." 🏥💡

💼 Chanel achieved a Merit in T Level Business: Management and Administration after completing an industry placement with the John Lewis & Partners and will now progress to employment with them as a Process Administrator, where she will do invoice processing. 👏✨

“I’m happy with my results. It was really helpful to do a placement because we had the practical aspect as well as the learning aspect, so we’d been shown and taught stuff in class and seeing it in practical use at John Lewis, so it was a good combination." 🌟
