Free ACL SEN Family Learning courses for April.

Designed to support parents and carers in strengthening their children’s wellbeing, confidence, and learning journey. This April, ACL are placing a special focus on their Introduction to Emotional Based School Avoidance (EBSA) workshop. EBSA continues to be an increasing concern for many families and schools, and this supportive session helps parents understand what EBSA looks like, why it happens, and gentle ways to help their child feel safer and more confident about attending school.
All courses are free, delivered online by their qualified tutors, and booking is required via:

Congratulations to Tom, a Jack Petchey Award Winner!

Tom is an incredibly resilient young man, who faces personal challenges with determination. Tom moved to us from Ramsey at the start of Year 12, and he quickly showed his class teachers his commitment to push himself in his studies, often working above his ALPS grade. Tom is the Senior Vice Captain of Halstead Swimming Club, swimming early mornings before Sixth Form and regularly supporting younger swimmers. He has also completed specialist lifeguarding training, gaining UCAS points while also aiming to further support his team. Tom is also a positive and kind role model for other students, showing that quiet determination can be key in future success. Tom deserves to be recognised for the consistent dedication he shows in all aspects of his life.
