Our Photography A-Level students have worked hard over half term to prepare for their Vanitas inspired shoots.

Today we had students from on site in Bridgwater to make some analogue prints in our darkroom.

They will be submitting these nature pictures to the competition. Fingers crossed for a win! 🎉

Today we ran a summer school for students hoping to be a Lens Master. Students did some colour grading, filming with our Drama students and some light painting photography.

Taster day June ‘25 is done. We welcomed 1700 year 10 students from local schools to tryout different courses.

Here is some unedited work from A-Level Media Studies students who had just 45mins to capture carefully selected images playing with composition and lighting.

They look fab and even Jack Sparrow agrees ➡️.

Today we had an talk from Sunday Express Editor, David Wooding.

David gave an amazing insight in to everything, from starting in journalism, the press standards to meeting the Queen.

Such rich and valuable knowledge shared with our A-Level Media and English students. This insight will directly feed in to the students work.

It was amazing to have students from with us today.

They visited us on the Bridgwater campus to use our cameras, photography studio and darkroom.

They shot 35mm film in the studio space, processed their film in our processing room and then made prints on the enlargers in our darkroom… what a busy day!

Our Level 1 Art students on our Taunton campus are use to painting, but today their paint was light and their canvas the air… we played with some light painting photography 📷.
