EHL Counsellor Fly In, October 2026

I'm home from the most amazing week in Switzerland, a place that for so many years felt like a second home to me. Spending time catching up with Melanie Cherhal Batey and family, Katrina Edmunds, and Skyler Bentley Hall was well overdue and much needed.

Then, on to the truly wonderful experience of EHL. After knowing of the business school through the excellent work of Dianna Brittian, this was a great opportunity to bring my knowledge to life in Lausanne.

I have been so impressed by the facilities, students, programme, food (!!!), opportunities and staff at EHL. I'm incredibly grateful for the opportunity to visit and learn about the school first hand.

A big shout to the fantastic group of counsellors too. From late night chats over fine dining, our Michelin star breakfast on campus, our endless search for good "English breakfast tea", becoming matcha connoisseurs, and our attempts at marking coffee art with EHL alumni, I wouldn't have wanted to experience it with anyone else!

The EHL fly ins are professional, informative, smooth, and so much fun. I'd thoroughly recommend it to other counsellors. Arrive with an empty stomach!

Thank you Guidewell Global for continuing to invest in my development as a counsellor. Having never been on a fly in before joining GWG, I appreciate their value more than ever now, after visiting Luiss Guido Carli University last year too.

Wow, what a day!

Thank you to Halcyon International School, Wetherby Senior School, and Queen’s College London for hosting the Guidewell Global Central London School Fairs today!

Today is my birthday, and spending it welcoming nearly 50 global college reps to London was genuinely special and so enjoyable 🫶🏼

Today wouldn’t have been possible without the continued collaboration and support from our wonderful host schools, and a special shout out to Asil, Aida, Adam and Seema 👏🏻

…. And yes, I just made it home in time for tea and birthday cake with my Mum and daughters ❤️

What is one of my favourite things about working in Guidewell Global's international environment?

Between 10am - 1pm today I had a number of online meetings.

I said "good afternoon" to my student in the Middle East, "good evening" to my student in South East Asia, "good morning" to my London colleagues, and I've said a later "good morning" to my American colleague in my mid-afternoon meeting! My last meeting tonight will be 10pm UK time to a school colleague based on the west coast of Canada (their early afternoon!)... all from the comfort and flexibility of working from home and with two little girls in tow 🥰

Time: 10am - 3pm BST with a lunch break from 12pm - 1pm

This event would be particularly relevant for those new to US guidance, or those who would appreciate a refresher.

Join our experienced counselling team at Guidewell Global online for a day of in depth US counselling training and useful resources to take back to your school. Our team will go through the basics and deep dive into key areas of US college guidance, and there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion throughout the day. As this training day is delivered online, we welcome counsellors from anywhere in the world who would like to attend live. This session will not be recorded.

We continue to aim to make our events accessible for everyone. We are pleased to offer a 20% discount to each second or subsequent staff member from the same school, and all UK state school staff.
