An object ( a pencil sharpener ) is placed between two vertical mirrors, angled at 60 degrees to each other. What would you see, looking from the direction shown? A nice question for our physics Olympiad class today?

I will post the answer this evening!

1200km on a 10 minute charge! That's the claim from Toyota.

Toyota is on the verge of achieving the capability to produce solid-state batteries for electric vehicles (EVs) on a mass scale, matching the pace of conventional batteries. The potential production is anticipated to commence around 2027 or 2028.

The company recently unveiled a groundbreaking development that could cut the cost and size of these batteries in half, potentially leading to a doubling of the range of EVs, reaching up to 1,200 km with a charging time of 10 minutes or less.

Toyota's collaboration with Idemitsu, a major Japanese oil company, plays a pivotal role in its endeavors to keep up with competitors such as Tesla and Ford in the EV market.

Solid-state batteries are known for offering improved safety and stability compared to traditional liquid electrolyte lithium-ion batteries and are considered crucial for the widespread commercialization of EVs.
