So good to have attend the NAHEMI-Kodak National Student Commercials Competition awards last Friday with a large group of our wonderful final year UWE Filmmaking students.
Very well done to everyone who entered and huge congratulations to the UWE teams behind our impressive crop of awards;
Aubriel Nababan, Jasmine Mok, Henry Keepin and team, winning best animated commercial for their irreverent Terry Gilliam inspired Jaffa Cake advert, The First Temptation.
Saige Tanna and team for the clever and engaging advert The Miss for The Hygiene Bank charity, winning 3rd in brief.
Sennen Laing, Fin Woods and the whole team for their impressive and hugely successful Jaffa Cake advert ZappaCakes, which won Best in Brief and 2nd place overall.
Special shout out to Georgia Bulkeley and Alice Bennett who won the craft award for best Production Design and Makeup.
Thank you University of Westminster Filmmaking for hosting the event at the beautiful Regent Street Cinema, Peter Hort & NAHEMI National Association for Higher Education in the Moving Image for organising and Eastman Kodak Company for your continued support of this wonderful competition, allowing students the opportunity to shoot on 16mm film and to learn about its enduring aesthetic appeal as well the rigour and professionalism associated with realising moving image work through photochemical and not digital means. ❤️❤️❤️
