Hello! I’m Raphaella Da Silva, I am currently studying Urban Planning.

As the previous Planning Society President and Student Representative, I have the experience, determination & enthusiasm to ensure a collaborative,inclusive and exciting environment for all! I want to encourage students who haven’t found a society that suits them, to create one, as well as getting societies to collaborate more with one another.

I am running to be your Vice-President Societies & Communications because I have been on both ends, I was a society member and I have been part of the society committee, therefore I’m able to understand the struggles and issues from both sides.

My priority is to ensure that the fun, excitement and creativity increase while stress and feeling overwhelmed decreases.
I will be doing this through creating a walk-in space and a forum, where all societies committees can meet, ask for help, get inspiration or just use to collaborate with other societies.
Now for society members, I will ensure that more fairs and competitions are available in Glenside and Bower Ashton Campuses. To ensure that the fun stays accessible and inclusive for all!

Hello! I love hearing from you, about your hobbies, what you love about UWE and your thoughts on the current issues students are facing. As well as, talking about some of your solutions for these challenges.

I will try my best to reduce or eliminate these issues. In addition to, tackling my manifesto goals, which are:

1- Supporting YOU during & post Covid

2-I seek to provide more financial support to YOU

3- To improve inclusion & awareness at UWE Bristol

4-To continue educating ourselves and others on current subjects that could be affecting us

5-To provide a condensed version of the UWE annual reports

I am aware that I have already mentioned some of these! However, that is because they are important! I will tackle them from different angles! For example, supporting students during Covid, I would like to prioritise our Mental Health because it can strongly affect us. Our mental health has multiple impacts on us and our lives, therefore I want to ensure that you are aware where to find resources to support you, inform you, assist you and protect you. I want to bring back events that brought us joy and that we miss, I will try to bring them justice although they might be virtual! I will also be available always for a chat or even just quietly sit down while staring at wall, I just want you to know that I will be there for you! I am proud of you and I got you!
