Showcase Theatre… you sure? 🏈🔥

Because this looked a lot like the Super Bowl. Closing the Showcase Theatre, this cast of students from across our degree programmes brought iconic Half-Time moments, stadium energy and headline spectacle to the stage.

All hail the Queens of Hearts! ♦️👑

Ruling MOVE IT 2026 with no mercy. Presented by students from across our degree programmes, this performance brought chaos, control and, of course, a little madness to the Showcase Theatre.

Welcome back, BIPA 💫

We hope you had a brilliant half term. While you were off recharging, campus didn’t slow down. Our studios were packed with action, and the team behind the scenes put in the hours to get this term moving.

Our degree dancers threw themselves into intensive rehearsals for Velvet & Vice, and the energy in the room has been unreal. In between that, we’ve been building everything that makes the term happen. The planning, the prep, the details that turn ideas into performances.

We also loved welcoming our friends at Mountview to BIPA for regional auditions, and opening up the Olympus Theatre to community partners during the break, including hosting the Bristol One Act Drama Festival. Seeing BIPA students past and present stepping into those spaces and going for it is exactly what it’s all about. If you auditioned, we’re rooting for you.

These photos take us back to January, to A Monster Calls in the Olympus Theatre, performed by our Second Year Actors. A powerful piece of work, and a reminder of what happens when you trust the process and tell the story with everything you’ve got.

And now we’re back in it. This half term is stacked.

Coming up:
• Velvet & Vice
• CTRL+V by our First Year Actors
• Degree London Residential
• College West End trips
• MOVE IT
• London Industry and Agent Showcase
• College Dance Show prep
• Jesus Christ Superstar prep
• Oliver! auditions
• Auditions for Pippin

Get focused, channel that energy, grab your water bottle, and let’s go. We can’t wait to see what you make this term 💜

Right now, our Olympus Theatre looks a little different… 👀🎥

Today we’re hosting BBC Question Time with Fiona Bruce, and our theatre has been transformed into a broadcast studio for tonight’s show (BBC One, 9pm).

For our Technical Theatre students, this has been a brilliant chance to connect with the industry in real time. They’ve been on the studio floor exploring the set, meeting the crew, and hearing first-hand about the different roles, routes into the work, and the kit and teamwork that make a touring broadcast like this happen.

We love moments like this. They remind you how close the creative industries really are when you’re in the right spaces, with the right people, asking the right questions.

Tune in tonight at 9pm to see our Olympus Theatre on screen.

We’re looking for a friendly, highly organised individual to join our team full-time, based at the heart of a busy creative campus, with rehearsals, projects and productions happening all around you.

As a key point of contact for students, applicants and parents, you’ll bring a calm, helpful presence day-to-day. Supporting our current students by keeping records accurate and up to date, using our systems to track progress and achievement, preparing key documents, and responding to general enquiries.

A key part of the role is supporting future students too, by processing applications and enrolments, helping to administer a busy audition schedule, and assisting with course information, marketing activity and communications. Confident communication is essential, to help applicants and parents feel informed before they join us.

Behind the scenes, you’ll support the admin that keeps our productions, projects and events moving, including ordering, invoices and materials.

⚡WE'RE HIRING ⚡

We’re looking for an experienced individual with boundless creative energy and a real passion for training the next generation. You’ll have experience both in the studio/classroom and bringing productions to life - confident teaching strong dance technique at multiple levels (for example ballet, jazz, contemporary, commercial and tap), leading rehearsals and supporting the creative process from first idea to final performance.

Alongside the practical and creative elements, you’ll also:

Support learners with their academic work, portfolios and research, delivering our UAL Level 3 Extended Diploma in Performing and Production Arts – a highly practical, industry-focused qualification equivalent to three A Levels

Help them prepare for auditions and higher-level training, including applications to conservatoires, universities and professional programmes

Guide them as they take their next steps into dance, theatre and performance, building the skills, confidence and resilience they need to progress

This maternity cover role comes with heaps of creative freedom, plus opportunities to choreograph, direct and shape new work, while playing a key part in preparing young performers for the next stage of their journey.

Closing Date: 14 December, 2025
Expected Interview Date: 17th December 2025
