Congratulations to Shirin Alexander, she has recently had a new paper accepted in Langmuir:
Low Surface Energy Surfactants with Branched Hydrocarbon Architectures
Shirin Alexander,Gregory Smith, Craig James, Sarah Rogers, Frederic Guittard, Masanobu Sagisaka, Julian Eastoe*, Langmuir, 2014, la-2014-00332s.R1 accepted 11-Mar-2014
The paper shows that very low surface energies/surface tensions can be obtained with certain architectures of branched hydrocarbon chain surfactants.
It is part of the G8 grant collaboration between Dr Sagiasaka and Professors Eastoe (Bristol) and Guittard (Nice, France).
This is Julian Eastoe’s 250th publication, in his 25-year career.
