Screening of Maradona's Legs, a beautiful Palestinian film set during the First Intifada ! Selling prints of Walaa's beautiful poetry ! All funds raised go directly to Walaa's family surviving zionist brutality in Gaza. Downstairs at Cafe Kino, September 19th, from 7pm!!

Walaa's son Youssef urgently needs funds for throat surgery. Her sister Doaa and her four children have just been displaced from Al-Shati (Beach) Camp, Gaza City, after being displaced from Jabalia al-Nazla two weeks ago. The zionist entity demolished 12 buildings in the camp in one day (September 11th), and Doaa needs urgent funds for food, medicine as her son Mohammed recovers from meningitis, and costly displacement transport south in order to keep surviving the zionist brutality and stay steadfast on their land. Doaa relied on social media to fundraise for her family's survival - and as Meta deleted her Instagram account this week, she needs your donations more urgently than ever!!!

Information will be displayed around the room about how people have been resiliently finding the essentials for life deprived from Gaza in the ongoing zionist siege since March 2nd, amplifying instructions from Palestinians on how money actually reaches people! Solidarity, Not Charity! This includes explanations of the cashier system in Gaza and news from Walaa's family in Gaza City.

SOLIDARITY, NOT CHARITY 🇵🇸
The resilient people of Palestine in Gaza are asking for donations to continue surviving on their land. They face increasingly cruel prices, inflated by the brutal zionist siege and blockade of all essentials into Gaza (see final slide).

Walaa is a single Mother, filled with hope and love for her land and her son, who gives her strength and steadfastness - but she needs material solidarity, donations!

In the second slide Youssef has plucked her a flower from the road and taken it to the building where she is learning English to fundraise and support herself! May we provide donations that flow like the water that make these flowers bloom, so Walaa and Youssef's insistence on beauty, life and love on their land may continue as they survive the accelerated genocide of the Palestinian people. May the day come quickly when Walaa has the life she dreams of, living in a wooden house by the sea, in a liberated Palestine. 🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸🇵🇸

Join us on International Women's Day to grieve and to fight for those most affected by sexist and racist violence. We know that our freedom from sexual and domestic violence, from endless wars, our freedom of choice over our bodies, our freedom to be, and to love, depends on the freedom of women globally. Therefore we answer the call from Palestinian feminists to resist our government's collaboration with Israel in the ongoing genocide. We stand in solidarity with all who disrupt the violence of Imperialism - from Bristol to Palestine, West Sahara to Kurdistan, Congo to Sudan - we rise together, united in resistance.

We are asking for donations and community fundraising to cover the costs of expensive legal fees for disciplinary action taken against individual students protesting the University of Bristol’s complicity in the genocide of the Palestinian people. 

The University of Bristol has taken unfounded proceedings against young people in full-time education to attempt to intimidate and silence student protesters. 

We will not allow this tactic to supress us. With your help we will protect each other and continue to act against UOBs extensive ties with weapons manufacturers.
