These bold, expressive abstract still life paintings were created by our Level 2 Art & Design students. Through experimentation with colour, composition, and mark-making, students push observational work into abstraction — developing both technical skill and personal voice.

Our Art & Design students have access to professional spaces that support practical learning, experimentation, and confidence through making.
Facilities include:
• Natural light studio
• Dedicated print room
• Darkroom photography
• Mac room with full creative software
• Free-use laptops for students
• Laser cutting
• A1 & A2 photo printing
• 3D studio
• Ceramics studio with wheels and kilns
• Life modelling sessions
These resources are built into everyday teaching and supported by experienced tutors and technicians — not treated as optional extras.

Bristol School of Art – Wise Campus 🎨

Our UAL Level 3 Art & Design Diploma students have been exploring hand-building techniques in clay, experimenting with form, texture, and expression. Through playful investigation and creative risk-taking, their natural talent and individuality are really coming through, with each portrait capturing its own unique character.

This course is all about experimenting, developing skills, and discovering your creative voice across a wide range of materials and processes. It’s a practical, studio-based qualification that prepares students for progression into higher education, including Foundation courses, or directly into creative careers.

If you love making, testing ideas, and pushing your creativity further, UAL Level 3 Art & Design could be for you.

Bristol School of Art Wise Campus. Level 3 Media Make-Up Artistry at SGS College ✨

What a brilliant day at Wise Campus, Bristol School of Art 🎭 We were thrilled to welcome Level 3 Media Make-Up Artistry students from Stroud Campus for a festive pantomime workshop packed with creativity and inspiration.

Students took part in a Grinch make-up demonstration, explored the Wise Campus on a guided tour, and enjoyed watching the Bristol Institute of Performing Arts perform their steampunk pantomime Enchanted 🤖✨
And of course… there were pastries 🥐☕

A fantastic opportunity to experience professional performance environments, creative collaboration, and industry-inspired make-up for theatre and live production.

We had a great time yesterday at the Creative UCAS event. Very special to have both Bristol School of Art campuses together for the day ❤️

Lots of inspiring conversations about the Creative Industries and discussions about different degree routes. + Fab workshops from the teams.

Ella and Lydia had a great time working with the Access to HE + UAL Foundation Diploma students printing special art school bags and posters.

👏 Access to HE for collaboratively designing such a fun print for us to work with.
