Mothers Eating and Drinking Study MEADS Research Research to help understand what happens to mothers eating behaviour in the early months after birth. Thank you for your interest.

I am looking for MOTHERS to help with this research study

You are eligible to take part if:
• You speak English as your first language
• You have a baby who is less than three months old
This would involve:
• talking to you about your eating and drinking behaviour, and your baby’s feeding behaviour and I will record all of your responses.
• completing a simple computer task about your eating behaviour
• measuring your weight

There are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers, I am interested in your own unique experiences! At the end of the session, I will give you a goody bag containing a pair of organic printed baby muslins (Frugi.com), a pair of SockOns (Sockons.com) and a bar of luxury handmade soap (SoapDaze, Made in Devon) in total worth over £10 (contents may vary subject to availability). I can visit you in your own home or meet you at a suitable location. The session will last for between an hour and an hour and half, to allow time for breaks for you and your baby’s needs. You are free to withdraw at any time without having to give a reason. I have attached an information sheet about the study to “Files” tab at the top of the page. I have now completed this study and a total of 78 Mums have taken part!

Wow! A total of 62 Mums have now taken part in the Mothers Eating and Drinking Study (and have had 14 new enquiries last week)! Thank you all so much for your generosity of time, hospitality and valuable contribution to the research.

I am looking for more Mums to take part in the Mothers Eating and Drinking Study!!!

A total of 43 Mums have now participated in the study (A big Thank You to all who made this possible!).

I will be in the foyer at Heavitree & Polsloe Children's Centre (Health Suite, Ladysmith Road, Exeter) tomorrow ( between 930 and 1130am. I look forward to meeting some more lovely Mums.

Recruitment is going really well, I have met 27 Mums so far, and look forward to seeing more this week!

I'll be at Tiny Tots Devon (Baby & Children's Preloved Market & more) on Saturday June 6th at Magdalen Court School in Exeter from 11am until 1pm.

Recruitment is going well so far and it’s been wonderful to meet all the mums and babies so far. I'm aiming to visit 15 mums in March and I am over half way already!

I have time for a visit in Exeter (or surrounding areas) on Friday 20th March afternoon between 1pm and 5pm. If you are a mum with a baby of under 3 months old and are available during this time, please let me know! Thank you.

An excellent start to study recruitment! 14 mums have already shown interest in taking part in the study. The aim is for 90 participants to take part in the Mothers Eating and Drinking Study by August 2015.
