From rugby pitches to the Atlantic: resilience, leadership & mental health

In support of Mental Health Awareness Month, we are sharing the story of Ollie Phillips (Executive MBA 2016), whose journey spans international rugby, an expedition to the North Pole and rowing across the Atlantic in The World’s Toughest Row.

In the article, Ollie reflects on:

- Resilience as a mindset
- Mental health in high pressure environments
- Leadership and teams
- Life after elite sport

Ollie’s core message for leaders: it is OK not to be OK, and you do not need to have all the answers. Real resilience is about curiosity, vulnerability and having the courage to act amid uncertainty.
