Introducing the second speaker at our event ‘Is there a gendered experience of Humanitarian Aid?’

Nina Pulimood

Nina graduated from Worcester College, Oxford University in 2016 with a BA in law. Upon completing her professional solicitors exam (LPC), she spent three months volunteering with the Mobile Info Team in Greece, helping to provide asylum seekers with information and assistance regarding the asylum process and their family reunion applications. She later completed a training contract at an American law firm, and subsequently gained two years of experience as a litigation solicitor.

In October 2022, Nina joined Wilson Solicitors, retraining in the field of immigration and asylum law. She now provides advice on a wide range of immigration, asylum and human rights cases, including appeals and judicial reviews. She has a particular interest in asylum law and regularly represents clients with complex mental health needs and survivors of trafficking, torture and other human rights abuses. She has also been involved with a strategic litigation project with Here For Good a charity which aims to challenge systemic injustices that put Europeans and their families at risk which was established about after Brexit.

We look forward to seeing you on the 8th of March at 7pm :)

Introducing the first of our speakers at ‘Is there a gendered experience of Humanitarian Aid?’

Maryam Chaudhry

“I have been a paediatric emergency nurse for four years now and have always had a strong gravitation towards providing humanitarian aid and healthcare in less developed countries. This journey started by completing a professional diploma in Tropical Nursing in 2022 and where I became inspired by many of my peers on the course and decided to travel to Malawi last year for 3 months. It was here that I was truly able to experience the unknown and really put my skills to use and would say that it was a key moment in realising that I can and want to do so much more. I am honoured with this opportunity to be able to speak at this event and share my experience.”

Details on our other speakers coming soon.

We look forward to seeing you on the 8th March at 7pm :)
