Our Story
An affiliate of Cambridge University Library, the Moore Library holds the University Library's working collections in mathematics, physics, astronomy, computer science, materials science, biological, chemical, earth, environmental sciences and engineering, including relevant material received under Legal Deposit Legislation. Open to all. Around 9,000 metres of open access shelving on four floors provide capacity for approximately 190,000 volumes. Staffed Hours: During term: Mon-Fri 09:00-21:00, Sat 09:00-13:00 Outside term: 09:00-17:00, Sat 09:00-13:00 Our main services include: Borrowing entitlements Readers with full borrowing rights may borrow up to a maximum of 10 items from the main and reserve collections, which may include at most 5 journal volumes. 24-hour access Readers with a Mifare (contactless-chip) University Card may apply for 24-hour access to the Library building. Please enquire at the Service Desk duting staffed hours if you would like to have your card configured for 24-hour access. Please note that reader registration and card configuration services are only available between 0930 and 1630, Monday - Friday.
