The award recognises the best research paper published in 2025 with a CEB PhD student as first author.

As part of her prize, Sofia will give a lecture to the department next month.

Taking root 🌱

The students of the Sensor Centre for Doctoral Training are growing radish and mustard plants in our teaching lab to help validate their vertical farming sensors.

This year's team challenge has seen the centre's students take on the task of testing a plant's health without damaging it. Sprout Sense is their solution.
