To celebrate Valentine’s Day and Love Your Library Week, we’re repeating our much‑loved Blind Date with a Book!

Do you ever judge a book by its cover? This week, why not step outside your comfort zone and try a blind date with a book instead? Visit the trolley in the entrance hall and browse a tempting selection of potential matches we think you’ll love.

Each book is wrapped in paper, with just a few carefully chosen words as clues. Those hints are all you get to decide whether you’d like to take the book on a ‘date’ or keep looking…

We’ve included a diverse range of fiction titles, most of them new to the scene, so there should be something for everyone. We’ve even added some sweet treats to make your date extra special!

Our final student curator for this academic year is Saffron Willett, currently completing a MPhil in Korean Studies.

Her project "Korea in Print" was inspired by the global rise of Korean pop culture and literature—including Han Kang’s Nobel Prize win.

The selected books highlight Korea's growing influence and invites others to explore its language and stories.

You can view the selected books on the accompanying LibGuide: https://libguides.cam.ac.uk/trinityhall/korea-in-print
