🌿 A PASSO DI GRIKO – Soundwalk in the Calimera Woodland 🌿

Tuesday, 31 March, 4:00 PM
📍 Meeting point: Calimera Woodland Parking Area

An immersive experience where the sounds of the past blend with those of the present.

We will walk through the Calimera Woodland up to the Church of San Vito, letting voices and reflections accompany our steps as we explore the connection between Griko and rural life. With wireless headphones, we will listen to stories of charcoal makers and olive pickers, learn to recognise wild herbs once used for medicinal purposes, and revisit ancient rituals and traditions that still resonate today.

🎧 Activity organised within the Horizon REVIVE project for the community co-creators and citizen scientists.

🎉 Revive Horizon Marks Its First Year!

We are pleased to share that the REVIVE project has successfully completed its first 12 months of a three‑year journey.

This milestone reflects the hard work, collaboration, and commitment of our partners and the communities we are engaging with across Europe.

Over the past year, we have:

🔹 Built strong working relationships with our multidisciplinary partners across Europe, ensuring a cohesive and collaborative foundation for the project.
🔹 Engaged deeply with our two case study communities in Puglia (Italy) and Cornwall (UK). Our team visited both locations multiple times to carry out fieldwork activities, including data collection, meetings with local stakeholders, and collaborative planning sessions.
🔹 Delivered co-creation workshops, working closely with co-creators and citizen scientists to shape the project’s outputs together and ensure that community perspectives remain at the heart of REVIVE.
🔹 Met as a consortium, alongside our Advisory Board, to reflect on our progress, discuss emerging insights, and plan the next phases of our work.

As we move into the second year of the project, we look forward to returning to Puglia and Cornwall in the spring to continue these conversations and activities.
