The first of our lent bumps reports, here's stroke seat Eleanor Vincent for W2:

"Day one was a strong start, chasing Emma W4. We didn’t let their quick start faze us, getting one whistle well before First Post. A spectacular corner from Ben meant we were able to bump in the Gut.

Day two was our longest day of rowing, chasing Eddie’s II. Another strong start had us on three whistles by the middle of the Gut, but we couldn’t quite close the gap around Grassy. A crash up ahead forced a rerow and though we made it to one whistle and were within a length coming onto the Reach, we rowed over.

Day three, determined to catch Eddie’s II (and a little wary of King’s II behind), W2 stormed the start and closed even faster than before, bumping just after First Post.

On the final day, we were chasing Medwards II, and starting cannon or not, we were going to get them. Bumping before First Post, it was our fastest bump of the campaign!"

What a fantastic performance from W2! Not to mention a speedy getting on race to join the bumps action again for the first time since 2020! 🌿

We're incredibly proud of all their hard work, sending a big thanks to their LBC Georgina, and look forward to seeing many of them return for Mays!

And before our mighty W2 take on the Getting on Race Friday, here's a look at Pembroke Regatta from Saturday! 🏆

M1, W1 and W2 took to the river to take on their lent bumps competition... And while our 1st boats had pretty exciting and tough races, it's W2 who stole the show!

Corpus W2 took on Robinson W2, Magdalene W3 and Jesus W4 to win their division! Taking revenge for previous W2 crews, we're so incredibly proud of them!

We also have a M1 race report from Men's captain Owen:

"After a productive recent few outings the men showed up in high spirits ready to take on Christs M1. After a strong paddle down the boys span and lined up to start, unfortunately, we started after them and got gapped pretty quickly. We fought hard and kept overlap with them for most of the course, making aggressive moves on them to try to catch up, it was not enough and after railway bridge they gained clear water where we fell apart. Whilst on paper it was a loss it was still a strong performance and readies us for a big bumps campaign."

Next, we have Newnham head!

Corpus fielded an M1, M2, W2 and W3, with W1 subbing into every crew (so does this count as all 5 crews out?) 🔥

The first race for most crews this term, and spirits were high as they all got to practise the bumps course!

We have an overview of the W3 race from LBC Emma:

"Our brilliant Cox Mark absolutely smashed his first race of 2026, with brilliant calls, a motivational force as intense as the crazy cross-tail wind, somehow he managed to maintain a fabulous line.

Although there were significant delays and some fun marshalling chaos, W3 were totally focused during the race, following the brilliant rhythm of Freya in stroke, they calmly avoided and dealt with crabs, the nightmare that is grassy corner and then the unforgiving wind on the reach. It was a stellar performance and the whole crew should be proud of themselves!

Honourable mentions to our fab W1 rowers, Sylvie, Yasmin and Emma for subbing in and helping to make the race happen!"

And W2 from LBC Georgina:

"W2 put in a strong performance keeping consistent throughout the race, and despite some very chaotic marshalling Ben (our cox) managed to steer a killer line.

With the getting on race coming up soon, it is sure to be an exciting bumps season! Special thanks to our wonderful captain fovie for subbing in!"

With lent bumps announcements dropping this Sunday (where has the time gone), this week we'll be looking back on all our great achievements this term! 🙌

Firstly, we kicked off the term with a bang, completing 955,874 km on the ergs! We came 7th overall in the education category (out of 255), so we're incredibly proud!

Our captain of boats Aadi racked up over a quarter of a million km in the month! And thanks to Alumni Alessandro and Giulio for really showing the current squad how it's done 💪

We're excited for the next erg challenge in a few weeks, and hope to have many of you join us again 🔥

Corpus are back! Starting 2026 strong, the new W1 took to Winter Head 2 Head!

From Women's Captain Fovie:

"W1 enjoyed the start of Lent term by enjoying the sunshine (and competition) at Winter Head-to-Head. Keeping up with a fair few div1 boats, the boat put in a solid performance in both legs, even managing to overtake a boat during the second 2km stretch. A special shout out goes to Ben and Clara, who graciously subbed in. Yeah Corpus!!"
